SMART CHECK ENGINE MONITORING INTRODUCED
Smart Check is Yanmar Marine’s new engine monitoring, maintenance, navigation and fuel management data software package for use on a Raymarine E120 display. Being introduced at Düsseldorf Boat Show 2008, Smart Check has been developed exclusively for Yanmar’s electronically-controlled marine diesels.
This real-time engine monitoring system checks over 40 engine, gear and control functions, providing clear and concise information in digital and analogue formats across a multifunctional Raymarine E120 display.
Single, dual or triple diesel installations can be shown on the same screen, providing data on engine status, speed and course; fuel, oil and coolant levels; turbocharging, torque and load; navigation information; fuel management; plus battery condition. Rudder position and water depth statistics can be added.
Navigation and fuel management calculations estimate the boat’s maximum safe travelling range, based on fuel consumption, fuel tank levels and available navigation information. A graphical distance ring is displayed on the digital nautical chart.
There are colour-coded alarm indicators and a data bar with highlighted engine status icon is always shown, no matter if the E120 is displaying radar, sonar or course plotting screens. Further Smart Check features include an alarm log list and maintenance reminders.
